Donations Needed DAVID GONZALEZ"Baseball Gives Back", of Global Sports Foundation, Inc. and Houston Hardball League are proud to present the 3rd Annual Midnight Madness Marathon Charity Game.
The proceeds of this event will provide financial assistance to our recipient David Gonzalez. David has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), is wheelchair bound forever and has medical equipment needs that insurance doesn't cover. Here is your opportunity to help David and his family now and play some great baseball in this historical event! All proceeds will go directly to the recipient.

When: Sunday May 20th. Players will report to the field Sunday morning at 9AM for check-in and warm-ups. The Home Run Derby Contest is at 10AM, followed by introduction of the players, singing of the National Anthem and ceremonial pitches by the recipient or family and celebrities. First game pitch at Noon, with marathon ending at Midnight. Free admission! Bring the family!
Teams: Two teams, Team Endurance vs. Team Fortitude. Defending two-time champs Team Endurance will attempt a Threepeat. Players will remain at the field until the game ends. Free substitution at all times. Play is open to anyone who signs up, limited player slots. Requests to play with a friend or relative will be honored as space and parity of teams allows.
Publicity: TV and radio stations will cover our marathon event for the local news and perhaps even national news. We will also submit the story and pictures of the event to MSBL Hardball magazine, a national publication. Who knows, you may be on TV or in our league magazine!

Player Gift: Each player will receive a free cool game jersey and T-shirt for playing and bragging rights for playing a 12 hour game.

Player Donation: To play in this special event for a great cause, each player shall donate $250. (Of course you can donate more if you like!) Space is limited and players taken on a first come, first serve basis. Remember, all proceeds benefit the recipient directly. |
